To keep the system simple and robust while operating on a budget this room is equipped with individual wired monitor packs that connect to each of the 4 aux sends that the sound board is capable of. This facilitates up to 4 musicians at one time on the stage with monitors (although more can be up there at a given time).
For each musician wanting to use a wired monitor, the following equipment is needed:
The cable will connect to one of channels 17-20 on the snake, which correspond to monitor channels 1-4 on the sound board. Connect to either one of the inputs on the bottom of the wired monitor pack.
Press the button on the bottom of the wired monitor pack to turn it on and the green light on the top should come on. If the red light comes on or neither light comes on, the 9V battery will need to be changed.
Ensure the button on the top is pressed in for ‘mono’ mode and connect the earbuds.
The different mixes are controlled by sends from each channel. Be sure to perform the sound check first to make sure the levels for the channels are good before setting the monitor mixes. Each channel will have 4 knobs (1-4) for each of the 4 aux sends that are used for monitors.
When changing monitor mixes, always take away something that is too loud before adding in something that is hard to hear.
